Tipiliuke Lodge

Tipiliuke Lodge sets a high standard for elegant comfort, classic trout fishing and access to other resort activities. The beautiful cut-stone lodge on the grand Cerro los Pinos Estancia is only 30 minutes from the San Martin/Chapelco airport. In the company of your guide you will stalk rising fish on the famous Rio Chimehuin, only a short distance from the lodge. Always scrappy and sometimes large rainbows and browns are abundant. As the beats are close-by lunch is served at the lodge each day in the shade of towering pines. Then the enjoyment of a relaxing afternoon siesta is the perfect way to unwind before returning to the river for the evening hatch, which are often blizzards of flies.

A new "spring creek" will be opened for the 2006-2007 season. This destination is perfect for couples with non-fishing companions. Hosts Kevin and Maria Jose Tiemersma have dedicated their professional lives to warmly looking after guests at Tipiliuke and previously at Kau Tapen Lodge in Tierra del Fuego. The quaint town of San Martin de los Andes is a half-hour drive away for those wanting more local color and shopping. The beautiful, Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole golf course, Chapelco Golf and Resort facility, only 20 minutes from the lodge, is available to guests as well.
